We Can Fix |
What you should know before purchasing a Heating and Air Conditioning system.
1) Super size with that order?
Most of the heating and air conditioning systems installed in Philadelphia and
surrounding areas is grossly oversized. This means that there is a 90% chance that
you will spend more money on fuel bills then you should be. If your contractor is not
performing a room by room manual J or heat load calculations, chances are your system
will probably be super sized. Either your contractor is too fast, feels that you don't know
any better, or he may not know how. Either way, you lose.
2) Where is the BEEF?
What is the difference between one estimate and the next? Find out how the companies
installation practice is different then there competitors. Can you compare warranties?
Will they come back if there is a problem ? How quickly? Is it in writing? Any service
after the sale?
3) What does the Zagat rating show?
How long has the company been in business? Any complaints at the Better Business
Bureau? Have you looked at Angies list and other online reviews? Have they been
responsive to your service needs to date?
4) Is that wild or farm raised salmon?
Too much emphasis is placed on the equipment, and not enough emphasis is placed on
the installation. Any great restaurant will give you a tour of the kitchen, with nothing
to hide. Great Heating and Air Conditioning companies will also go to great lengths to
take care of you. If your comfort consultant request to see your gas bill, uses software
to determine the size and type of equipment that is best for your home, or makes
recommendations to reduce your overall fuel cost
